Sectors

First Voice works in many development sectors and has the potential to work across a wide spectrum of development sectors that have Information Communication Technology (ICT) needs. These sectors include, but are not limited to, health, education, agriculture, micro enterprise, micro finance, food security, governance and democracy, early warning and HIV/AIDS.

Health

FVI worked with the Asian Development Bank in northern Laos on a pilot project that helped increase the level of general knowledge about HIV/AIDS prevention, child trafficking.

Education

First Voice International works with the Population Media Council to educate people in Mali, Burkina Faso and Cote D'Ivoire on trafficking of children and child exploitation.

Agriculture

FVI is teaming with one of the leading producers of agricultural and rural development content, the Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA), to disseminate CTA's resources to a much wider audience of agricultural extension workers, government ministries, Non-Governmental Organizations and Community Based Organizations.

Emergency and Early Warning

First Voice International (FVI) has been working in partnership with RANET, since 2000 to make weather, climate, and related development information more accessible to remote and resource poor populations.

Good Governance and Democracy

WBI has created a good governance curriculum for government leaders in Africa and has been working with FVI to expand beyond African capital cities to reach widely disbursed individuals, often in rural areas.
