Cross sector potential - 'Mainstreaming' an Information Communication Technology approach

FVI provides a sophisticated, appropriate, well adapted technology platform for partners who are implementers and funders of development projects at the grassroots level FVI allows partners to embed a tailor-made Information Communication Technology (ICT) platform within their sectoral or cross sectoral approach in order to amplify and accelerate project impact. Like gender equality or HIV/AIDS awareness, an ICT communication strategy should be integrated into overall programmatic goals whenever possible, rather than being seen simply as a goal in itself.

Leveraging Our Development Niche

FVI partners with donors and medium to large scale implementing Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) to leverage our niche Information ICT advantage and add critical value to a variety of cross sectoral projects. FVI relies on partners to achieve its mission of ensuring that people living in poverty and remote places get the information they need to improve their lives. FVI partners include USAID, the World Bank and the European Union directly and through large scale NGOs such as Save the Children UK.
